Nothing less than terrific

Whip, drag, pull back, repeat! Whip, drag, pull back, repeat! It’s a motion that never gets old because once a salmon is flossed, it’s all worth it! Our time at the Eagle Head Resort was nothing less than terrific! We were there for four nights on the first week on August. Jerry personalized our experience, was the perfect host and is a master flosser! He taught our whole family how to catch salmon and he even taught me how to fillet them! My children adored him as he was able to relate to them individually and patiently teach them how to floss. We had great conversations and laughs with him out by the water. We even had the privilege of eating his famous salmon chowder (which is a secret recipe) on one night and his low temp smoked salmon on another night. So delish! Nestled in Sterling, Alaska, the Resort is just steps away from the Kenai River. It’s very clean and well taken cared of. There’s a sense of tranquility during all hours of the day, except, of course, when someone catches a salmon and then excitement fills the air! I highly recommend this property to those interested in going to Alaska to catch salmon and want the perfect accommodations paired with the experience. I’d love to go there again!
